GREAT PLACE TO EAT

Formally the home of the Atkinson Union Stock Yard. Great tasting food and a wonderful staff of friendly servers. Watch out for the morning coffee clutch. The food is great and affordable (cheap) but bring cash. They do not take credit card.

Small hometown restaurant. Homemade cooking at it's best. (Admittedly, you have to wait for your food at times) however everything is made from scratch. Especially their pie's you have to get there early if you want a slice.

Very good place to eat. Had BBQ pork sandwich was very good

Very fr staff, and amazing food!

We stopped here to eat on a road trip and it was very nice. At first we were taken aback by the look and setting of the entire building, but upon dining we found that it was a great choice. Homemade bread, an assortment of scrumptious pies, overly friendly staff... What more do I need to say!! Five stars (:

A great place for delicious food and great service. We traveled from South Carolina to meet family we have not seen for a few years. Lisa and all the staff were very engaging and even overheard my comment on the " strawberry rhubarb pie" and saved me a piece before asking as it was almost gone.Definitely worth the stop even if you have to travel out of your way.

When I go back home, we take the 20 minute drive for breakfast here. The homemade bread is delicious. Their French toast is what I crave and is the best for sure in that area.

Just finished a delicious breakfast with friends and neighbors. Could hardly find a seat. Come and enjoy the daily lunch specials. You won't be disappointed!!

A welcome stop to meet friendly people and have an amazing home-cooked meal. We had the meatloaf special along with several pies (strawberry was the best!). In the era of COVID, this was a clean, conscientious family business that offered takeout and directions to a nearby park. We were happy to support and will do it again next time we pass through.

Good place, kid friendly, reasonable prices, good food and service was fine. Only downfall it's a cash only. If you don't know that it could pose a problem.

Cozy kitchen with historical decor & a wall full of personal mugs! Ordered the special for the day, sauteed peppers and onions with cheese on a chicken breast, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, and a side of their house-made bread.Finished up with an irresistibly sweet tart strawberry rhubarb pie. Service was awesome; read and ask about their story! It's worth it!Clean dining room and restrooms

One of my favorite spots when I'm visiting family in the area because of the cozy setup, friendly staff/customers and delicious food.

This restaurant serves great old fashion food. the service is awesome. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need.

Great breakfast, it usually is fairly busy however. There can be a long wait because of the amount of people in the restaurant, but the food is wonderful and worth the wait. Not very expensive either.

Thank you to the folks that noted details about this spot; driving up to the building I wouldn't have thought that it held this *great* café... I had a delicious steak burger and a green salad: the meat was so fresh and tasty, and the salad was exactly what I was looking for! If I ever pass this way again and the timing is right (closes at 2 PM) I will definitely stop.
